2025–2026 Intern
Writing Coaches of Montana is seeking an 2025–2026 intern to work 5–10 hours a week on a variety of tasks related to nonprofit administration and management. The internship will run from September 2025–May 2026.
Writing Coaches of Montana (WCM) is a nonprofit that trains community members to support public school student literacy. Community volunteers are trained as coaches and work one-on-one throughout the school day with students and use a praise-question-suggest model, based upon principles of motivational interviewing.
Responsibilities
- Researching fundraising and program outreach opportunities
- Drafting social media copy & creating social media graphics
- Supporting with drafting content for monthly newsletter
- Supporting with website maintenance and updates
- Creating outreach materials & outreach presentation slideshows
- Helping to create contracts and photo policies for schools served and volunteers
- Performing donor and volunteer data management through Bloomerang
- Transferring and updating information in ClickUp project management software
- Supporting with other projects, as needed
Qualifications
- Passion for supporting volunteerism and public education
- Proficiency or ability to learn electronic communications and standard software (e.g. Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Google Drive and other Google products: Calendar, Sheets, Docs, Meet, Forms)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High School diploma or equivalent
Hourly Wage
$11/hour
