Writing Coaches of Montana is participating in the Whitefish Community Foundation's Great Fish Community Challenge for the first time! WCM seeks funding to provide Flathead public school students with one-on-one literacy coaching. In the past few years, Flathead programming has expanded tremendously—providing 56% of our overall services! Now we need to increase Flathead donorship to ensure that we can support students across Columbia Falls, Evergreen, Kalispell, and Whitefish in perpetuity.
Giving for the Great Fish Community Challenge happens from August 8–September 13. At the end of the Challenge, Whitefish Community Foundation awards a percentage match on the first $25,000 raised by each nonprofit!
PLEASE NOTE: donations given directly through this donation page cannot be accepted for the Great Fish Community Challenge. Please instead go to Whitefish Community Foundation’s website (https://whitefishcf.fcsuite.com/erp/donate/list) to give starting on August 8th. Plus, you can give to multiple outstanding Flathead nonprofits simultaneously. Now that’s something to celebrate!

Giving to WCM at any level is helpful. Here are some cost examples to demonstrate how far your dollar goes at WCM:
- $50 pays for 2 volunteer background checks.
- $100 pays for coordinating costs for two classrooms.
- $500 covers the cost of training 60 new writing coaches.
In addition to donating once, you can make an even greater impact by becoming a Friends of WCM donor by donating below, entering in your monthly donation amount, and then clicking the "make this a monthly payment" button when prompted to submit your payment.
WCM also has corporate sponsorship options for businesses. In exchange for this financial support, WCM offers marketing opportunities via social media, newsletters, Writing Matters podcast episodes, and Writing in the Field profiles of employees.
